TINNITUS IMPROVEMENT WITH SOUND AND TONGUE STIMULATION

A non-invasive medical device can deliver sound and electrical stimulation to the tongue hasshown to improve tinnitus symptoms. The procedure, known as bimodal neuromodulationincluded participants who used the device for a minimum of 36 hours in one hour sessions spreadover 12 weeks.

The current problem for the consumer would be how to pay for this rather long treatment. The
study came out in 2020, so it may be a year to three years from now when insurance agrees to payfor it. This gives hope to the millions of TBI victims who have had to live with lesser or greaterlevels of tinnitus a condition underappreciated for its significant impact on everyday life.
